NoCo Beer Culture
Northern Colorado is known as the Napa Valley of Beer. In the early 1980's, Anheuser Busch planted roots north of Fort Collins and the beer culture has grown and grown since then. In Fort Collins, the beer capital of the country, small micro-breweries began to pop up in the late 1980's. Now those micro-breweries have expanded their reach nationwide, most notably New Belgium and Odells. Northern Colorado is also ripe with a vibrant home-brew culture. Some entrepreneurial home brewers have taken it to the next level by creating exciting varieties of craft beer breweries over the past decade. It's an exciting time to be in Northern Colorado.
